<![CDATA[The purpose of this study is to assess the level of crowding in service in restaurants in Cilegon City and to propose improvements to the queue system based on the appropriate queue model for the restaurant. The method used is the Discrete Event Simulation (DES) method. The simulation approach allows for an in-depth and direct analysis of the system over a period of time, providing a realistic picture of the situation on the ground. The data used in this study is primary data, including customer arrival time data and service time (server) data measured using a stopwatch. The results of the study showed that there was a queue with an average of 10 people and a server busyness rate of 99.32%. This high level of busyness can result in a decrease in customer satisfaction due to long waiting times. Based on the results of the two scenarios tested, namely scenario one with the addition of 1 server and scenario two with the addition of 2 servers, the first scenario involving the addition of one server/cashier was chosen because it succeeded in reducing the number of customers with a busy level of 70.68%.
