Abstract

Kata Kunci : Triage Emergency Severity Index (ESI), Length Of Stay. ABSTRACTThe triage process has become an important element of emergency care services, one type of triage is the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) method. The research problem is that there are many Length of stays. The purpose of the study was to determine the Relationship between Triage Emergency Severity Index (ESI) and Length of stay in the Emergency Installation of Dwi Sari Lubuklinggau Mother and Child Hospital. This study is a quantitative study with an observational analytical research type and a cross-sectional design. The population was 5,519 people and a sample of 98 people. The type of research data is primary and secondary data. Data analysis in this study used the chi-square test statistic. The results of the study showed that there were 54 people, most of whom (55.1%) had inappropriate implementation of the Triage Emergency Severity Index (ESI) and 44 people, almost all respondents (44.9%) had appropriate implementation of the Triage Emergency Severity Index (ESI). The results of the study obtained 56 people, most of whom (57.1%) had Length Of Stay ≥ 6 hours and there were 42 people, almost all of whom (42.9%) had Length Of Stay < 6 hours. The results of the statistical test by looking at the Continuity Correction value obtained ρ value = 0.000 (ρ < α 0.05), this shows that there is a relationship between the Triage Emergency Severity Index (ESI) and length of stay in the Emergency Installation of the Dwi Sari Lubuklinggau Mother and Child Hospital. For the Dwi Sari Lubuklinggau Mother and Child Hospital, in an effort to prevent the accumulation of patients and accelerate the patient handling process, the hospital can implement policies related to patient services in the ER through a review of patient handling procedures that go through several stages. Keywords: Triage Emergency Severity Index (ESI), Length Of Stay.
