Oxygen saturation is the amount of oxygen in the arteries. Because the bronchi shorten, carbon dioxide is trapped and oxygen has difficulty entering the lungs, resulting in decreased oxygen saturation in COPD. Non-medical complementary therapies such as Pursed Lips Breathing are used to treat COPD patients. A common breathing technique to improve activity tolerance is Pursed Lips Breathing (PLB), which is performed on COPD patients to alleviate dyspnea symptoms and increase the patient's oxygen saturation levels. Objective to understand PLB Therapy as an effort to improve oxygen saturation in COPD patients. Literature Review as a research method from accredited articles. The articles in this study are sourced from several search engines such as Google Scholar, PubMed, and Harzing published in the last 5 years. There were 594 from the search engine queries from 2020 to 2024 and 8 articles included in the study. Of these 8 journals, they discuss PLB therapy in COPD patients. PLB therapy has been proven effective in improving oxygen saturation levels in COPD patients.
