Qur’anic social ethic studies with a thematic exegesis approach (maudu’i) toward Surah An-Nahl/ 16: 90 seen as containing a complete social ethic. It consists of three aspects: al-‘Adl(justice), al-Ihsan (freferable), and itta’izil qurba (giving charity to family member). These are a obligation that must be applied in human social life. In the contrary, there are three prohibition: al-fahsya’ (heinous act), al-munkar (bad deed), and al-baghyu (unjust act). In its actualization and application, the three social ethics in many aspects emphasizes the principle of human equality brotherhood, knowing and helping each other. Moreever, social ethic character is the Qur’an which involves belief and dimension of worldly life and hereafter, it needs community life involvement in order to applies sence of togetherness, solidarity, and reduces social inequality and stratification.
