The purpose of this research is to identify the risks that may occur during the loading and unloading process. The research method used is literature review (library search). The findings of the study indicate that the risk associated with loading and unloading activities often involves delays. These delays can be attributed to several factors, including malfunctioning equipment, cost issues, administrative challenges, improper storage of goods at stacking locations, unpreparedness of loading and unloading workers, tidal fluctuations, insufficient loading and unloading equipment on ships, official holidays or festivals, and adverse weather conditions. To minimize these risks, several methods can be employed, such as HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control), Job Safety Analysis, and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
