Abstract

The research purposed to examine the effect of guided inquiry-based project metodh on the theme of the excretion system, diabetes mellitus and its treatment on the activity and student result learning. Control Group, Pretest-Posttest Design is used on this research. Its population is students of class IX, MTs WI Kebumen. The sample used is class IX C as a the control class and IX D as the experimental class. Sampling technique is used random sampling. Primary data are the data activity and learning outcomes.80% of students showed high and very high activity, and then tested the difference in average student activity generates taccount> ttable (2.088>2.00). The results of the classical completeness cognitive experimental class was 86.67% students completed, then the test results showed taccount> t table (6.153> 2.00). In the psychomotor domain, completeness experimental class has met the target 85% of students completed psychomotor domains. In the affective domain 90% of students have a high interest in guided inquiry-based projects learning. Based on the researchs results,  it is concluded that the use of guided inquiry-based projects affects the students activities and learning outcome.
