Abstract

TikTok Shop is a trending buying and selling platform because it is highly favoured by consumers, in its journey TikTok Shop is suspected of predatory pricing. This research aims to discuss the impact of predatory pricing (TikTok Shop), how Islamic economics views the practice of predatory pricing, and the role of the government in predatory pricing. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods and library research. The impact of TikTok Shop's predatory pricing is to reduce competition. TikTok Shop gains a dominant position, this creates unfair competition that can damage local businesses that have survived for years. Islam regulates muamalah activities, which must pay attention to the following: Prohibition of monopoly and price manipulation, Islamic economic principles encourage healthy and fair competition in the market. Islam teaches that fair competition encourages innovation, product quality, and better choices for customers. Islam encourages fair and healthy competition in the market as a means to improve the quality of products and services. Unfair price forecasting that exploits market weaknesses or disadvantages small competitors may be considered a violation of social justice principles. The government is taking a firm stance on TikTok Shop, which is suspected of violating MOT PMSE by offering products at very low prices, both from big brands and imported products, which can defeat local MSMEs in market competition
