<![CDATA[This research discusses the concepts of ‘Aam (general), Khas (special), Amr (command), and Nahy (prohibition) in ushul fiqh, focusing on the relevance of their application in the study of Islamic law. These concepts play an important role in understanding the shar'i propositions, especially the Qur'an and Hadith. This research uses a qualitative analysis method by reviewing primary and secondary sources in ushul fiqh literature. The results show that ‘Aam and Khas help establish the scope of the law, while Amr and Nahy serve as the basis in determining the obligation or prohibition of an action. The study also found that the application of these four concepts is highly contextualised, thus requiring a deep understanding of the nashas and the situation at hand. This research is expected to provide clearer insights in applying the principles of ushul fiqh in fatwas and contemporary ijtihad.]]>
