Yesus Menggenapi Nubuat Mesias Menurut Kitab Injil Matius

Abstract: Prophecies regarding the presence of the Messiah have long been stated in the Old Testament books through various statements of God given to the prophets. But many people wonder who the real Messiah is. Because before the presence of Jesus, the figure of a Messiah was still vague. Through the Gospel of Matthew revealed the fulfillment of the prophecy of the Messiah which was fulfilled in Jesus. In line with Matthew who wants to reveal that Jesus is the Messianic King, the author also agrees with Matthew's statement that Jesus is the Messiah. That everything that was in Jesus and everything that He did has declared that He was the Messiah. The purpose of this research is to reaffirm that Jesus is truly God and everything that is real in Him has long been prophesied in the Scriptures. So that through this research, the author tries to remind and strengthen the faith of every believer that Jesus is the only Messiah, who has long wanted His coming and only Jesus has fulfilled every Messianic prophecy in the Bible. The method used by the author in this research is descriptive qualitative, through the data collection used is library research, through various literatures such as books and journal articles that discuss about Jesus who fulfilled the prophecy of the Messiah. This study found the fact that only Jesus has fulfilled all the prophecies regarding the Messiah. Even though there are still many people who are not aware of the mission He is carrying out, Jesus as the Messiah continues to carry out the saving work during His lifetime on earth, which aims not for himself, but for sinners. Abstrak: Nubuat mengenai kehadiran Mesias telah lama dinyatakan di dalam kitab Perjanjian Lama melalui berbagai pernyataan Allah yang disampaikan kepada para nabi. Namun banyak orang menduga-duga siapa Mesias sesungguhnya. Sebab sebelum kehadiran Yesus, sosok seorang Mesias terlihat masih samar-samar. Melalui Injil Matius diungkapkan penggenapan nubuat Mesias yang tergenapi di dalam diri Yesus. Selaras dengan Matius yang hendak mengungkapkan bahwa Yesus adalah Raja Mesianis, penulis pun juga sependapat dengan penyataan Matius bahwa Yesus adalah Mesias. Bahwa setiap hal yang ada pada diri Yesus dan setiap hal yang dikerjakan-Nya telah menyatakan bahwa Dia adalah Mesias. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mempertegas kembali bahwa Yesus benarlah Tuhan dan segala sesuatu yang nyata di dalam diri-Nya telah lama dinubuatkan dalam Kitab Suci. Sehingga melalui penelitian ini, penulis berusaha untuk mengingatkan dan menguatkan iman setiap orang percaya bahwa Yesus sebagai satu-satunya Mesias, yang selama ini telah lama diinginkan kedatangan-Nya dan hanya Yesus saja yang telah menggenapi setiap nubuatan Mesias dalam Alkitab. Adapun metode yang digunakan penulis dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif, melalui pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah studi pustaka (library research), melalui berbagai literatur-literatur seperti buku-buku dan artikel-artikel jurnal yang membahas mengenai Yesus yang menggenapi nubuat Mesias. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan fakta bahwa hanya Yesus sajalah yang telah menggenapi seluruh nubuat mengenai Mesias. Sekalipun masih banyak manusia tidak menyadari akan misi yang dikerjakan-Nya, namun Yesus sebagai sang Mesias tetap mengerjakan karya penyelamatan itu selama masa hidup-Nya di dunia, yang bertujuan bukan untuk dirinya sendiri, melainkan manusia berdosa.
