Abstract

This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of the study were students of class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Seram Bagian Timur. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation sheets and student assessment rubrics. The study was conducted in two stages. The first stage is Cycle I stage, it is explained that the average value of learning ability is 35% or there are 7 students who have completed learning. These results indicate that in the first cycle classically students have not completed learning, because students who get a KKM score <75 are 65% or 13 students who have not completed out of 20 students. In Cycle II stage, all subjects reach KKM or 100%. In Cycle II, the learning process runs according to the revised design. Based on these data with the application of the Inquiry Learning method, cycles I and II can be seen that there is an increase in learning outcomes after the application of Inquiry Learning.
