Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dari minat belajar tinggi, sedang, dan rendah dalam menyelesaikan soal Hots. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif adapun instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini di antaranya, lembar angekt, tes berupa soal cerita Hots, dan pedoman wawancara. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 orang siswa yang diambil dari kelas VIII-A SMPN 1 Pohjentrek. Pengambilan subjek tersebut berdasarkan nilai rapor dan hasil diskusi dengan guru matematika. Selanjutnya teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan Kemampuan pemecahan masalah berdasarkan minat belajar tinggi memenuhi beberapa indikator pemecahan masalah di antarannya, memahami masalah, menyusun rencana pemecahan masalah, melaksanakan penyelesaian masalah dan memeriksa kembali hasil penyelesaian. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach while the instruments used in this research include angekt sheets, tests in the form of Hots story problems, and interview guidelines. The subjects used in this study were 3 students taken from class VIII-A SMPN 1 Pohjentrek. The subjects were taken based on report card scores and the results of discussions with the math teacher. Furthermore, the data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study show that problem solving ability based on high learning interest fulfills several problem solving indicators including understanding the problem, developing a problem solving plan, carrying out problem solving and re-examining the solution results. Problem solving ability based on moderate learning interest fulfills several problem solving indicators including understanding the problem, developing a solution plan and being able to carry out problem solving.
