Abstract

The principal function of bank is as a vehicle which can collect, withdraw funds from the public, and channeling funds to communities effectively and efficiently, with economic democracy berasaskan support the implementation of national development in order to improve the distribution of development and their results, economic growth and national stability , towards improving the living standards of the people that is in accordance with Article 33 of the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia 1945 amendment IV. The problems of this study are: (1) How do the factors causes of bad loans at Bank Mandiri Branch Ubud? (2) How Bad Debt Settlement attempts at Bank Mandiri Branch Ubud ?. This type of research in this thesis is empirical legal research. The empirical method is a method by observation or research directly to the field to get an accurate truth in the writing of this refinement process. Factors that cause the bad loans that, in analyzing the weaknesses of banks so that there was an error in the decision, the weakness of the customer, the customer delinquency, Natural disasters, wars, changes in economic conditions, and changes in technology.
