Abstract

The establishment of the Constitutional Court is an important milestone in the history of the struggle for reform in Indonesia, which marks the commitment of the Indonesian people to prioritize the principles of justice, supremacy of law and respect for human rights. In practice, the Constitutional Court has a very significant role in maintaining the stability and balance of the constitutional system in Indonesia. The Constitutional Court has the authority to decide on judicial review of the 1945 Constitution, decide disputes over the authority of state and decide disputes regarding the results of general elections. Thus, the Constitutional Court is at the forefront in maintaining the sanctity of the constitution and upholding constitutional democracy in Indonesia. The authority of the Constitutional Court in reviewing laws against the 1945. As mandated by statutory regulations.
