Abstract

Alat pencetak briket masih relatif mahal bagi pengusaha berskala home industry sehingga masih membuat briket dengan cara manual. Dengan cara manual membutuhkan banyak waktu dan tenaga sehingga kurang efisien. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat mesin pencetak briket dengan menggunakan screw extruder. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan tahapan mendesain mesin sesuai dengan komponen yang diperlukan yang meliputi proses perakitan pengelasan, pemotongan plat, pengeboran, dan pembubutan dan yang terakhir adalah uji fungsi alat. Hasil yang didapatkan dari perancangan mesin ini adalah mesin screw extruder arang briket berbahan baku batok kelapa semi otomatis yang berkapasitas 2kg/10 menit. Briket terbaik didapatkan pada perbandingan arang dan perekat 4:1 dan takaran air 250ml. Briquette printing equipment is still relatively expensive for home industry-scale entrepreneurs so they still make briquettes manually. Manually requires a lot of time and energy so it is less efficient. Therefore, this research aims to make a briquette printing machine using a screw extruder. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the stages of designing the machine according to the required components which include the assembly process of welding, cutting plates, drilling, and turning and the last is the tool function test. The results obtained from the design of this machine are semi-automatic screw extruder charcoal briquettes made from coconut shells with a capacity of 2kg / 10 minutes. The best briquettes are obtained in the ratio of charcoal and adhesive 4: 1 and 250ml water dose.
