<![CDATA[This research is motivated by technological advances that can not be avoided and has entered into various fields of life, including agriculture. One form of technological progress is the rice cutting machine (Combine Harvester). Where the machine was expected to help or facilitate the process of harvesting rice but in reality the machine reduces or even replaces the work of farm laborers. This study aims to examine the effect of the use of Combine Harvester on the welfare of traditional farm laborers in Taras Padang Village, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency. This research uses qualitative methodology. Data collection strategies include interviews, documentation, and observation. The Data showed that the utilization of combine harvesters in Taras Padang Village, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, resulted in Indigenous workers being categorized as prosperous families; however, their income decreased during the growing season due to the implementation of these machines.]]>
