Humorous Misunderstandings as The Theme of Oliver Goldsmith’s She Stoops to Conquer

Abstract; drama is a literary work which is very interesting to be studied, because i5t canillustrate the people life clearly. She stoops to Conquer is a comedy drama in 18th century,written by Oliver Goldsmith. In the drama the actors have some difficulties to solve theirproblems. The research method in the study is the inductive method that is getting theconclusion from the special phenomena to the general phenomena which are related to thedrama itself. The result of the research to the drama She Stoops to Conquer is giving a messageof moral values to the general society who often sees peoples from their outsides. Specially, thedrama shows that the misunderstandings can be funny things at the wrong perceptions tosomeone or something.
