<![CDATA[Background: The World Health Organization (WHO) claims that the elderly population aged 60 years will increase from 1 billion in 2020 to 1.4 billion in 2050. The elderly are a group of people aged 60 years with increasing age, the degeneration process experienced by the elderly causes decreased body function, gradual loss of bone mass is one of these declines, and is followed by decreased muscle strength, all of which result in impaired physical mobility in the elderly. Objective: the effectiveness of ROM application on muscle strength in the elderly with impaired physical mobility. Method: this study used a pre-experimental method with a one group pretest and post-test design. Results: ROM exercises have a significant effect on increasing muscle strength in the elderly with impaired physical mobility. Conclusion: the provision of ROM actions has been proven to be effective in increasing muscle strength values in the elderly with impaired physical mobility, with an average increase in upper extremity muscle strength values of 0.87 and lower extremities of 0.78 Suggestion: it is hoped that the results of this study can be used to help nurses provide ROM interventions in the elderly with impaired physical mobility to increase muscle strength.]]>
