<![CDATA[In handling domestic violence today, the efforts of the role of the police are very influential and interconnected with Law No.23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence and Law Number 2 of 2002 concerning the Indonesian National Police. The main objective of this research is to investigate the efforts of the Merauke Police Police in handling domestic violence in the Merauke community and to know the inhibiting factors in the resolution of domestic violence cases in the Merauke community.This research method uses empirical juridical research types using primary and secondary types and sources of data then arranged descriptively. From the results of research conducted shows that there are still obstacles that can be obtained by the police and from the results of this result it is also known that the efforts made by the Merauke Police Department especially the PPA Unit in handling domestic violence cases are divided into 2 namely Preventive Efforts. and In the process of managing domestic violence there are also 2 obstacles namely, internal and external obstacles. To the police at Merauke Regional Police, especially the PPA unit, it would be possible to increase the level of awareness raising and to train HR investigators in handling domestic violence as an example in the field of psychology. this aims so that the police themselves can understand the condition of the victim's own soul]]>
