This research aims to analyze the ability to read the Al-Qur'an of children in Pagar Manik Village through the use of the ummi method. The aim is to provide a better understanding of the factors that influence the ability to read the Koran in the community, as well as applying the ummi method to improve children's ability to read the Koran. Data collection was carried out using interview techniques, participant observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. Checking the validity of the findings was carried out by means of researcher participation, triangulation techniques using various sources, theories and methods and diligent observation. The research informants were the village head, the Koran teacher in Pagar Manik village, and the children of Pagar Manik village. The research results showed that the quality of reading the Al-Qur'an after applying the ummi method resulted in good reading and in accordance with the applicable Tajwid laws. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an anak-anak di Desa Pagar manik melalui penggunaan metode ummi. Tujuannya untuk memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik terkait faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan membaca Al-Quran dilingkungan masyarakat, juga menerapkan metode ummi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an anak-anak. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara, observasi parstisipasif dan dokumentasi . Teknis analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Pengecekan keabsahan temuan dilakukan dengan cara keikutsertaan peneliti, teknik triangulasi dengan menggunakan berbagai sumber, teori dan metodedan ketekunan pengamatan. Informan penelitian yaitu kepala desa, Guru mengaji di desa Pagar Manik, dan anak-anak desa Pagar Manik.hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kualitas membaca Al-Qur’an setelah diterapkan metode ummi menghasilkan bacaan yang baik dan sesuai dengan hukum-hukum tajwid yang belaku.
