<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the low reading ability of class I students at SDN Kedung Badak 2. The low reading ability is caused by teachers who use less media during the learning process, resulting in students being less attentive in participating in class learning. One media that can be used to improve reading skills is picture card media. Picture cards are a reading method using cards containing pictures accompanied by words. The aim of this research is to improve the reading ability of class I students at SDN Kedung Badak 2 using picture card media. This research uses a design, The one Group Pretest-Posttest. The results of this research were obtained by grade 1 students before and after the application of picture card media. The average posttest score is higher than the pretest. The average value obtained from the posttest was 79.31 and the mean pretest was 64.31. So there was an increase in reading ability after applying picture card media to grade 1 students at SDN Kedung Badak 2.]]>
