The purpose of this study is to find out how the critical thinking skills of grade IV students at SDI Wahid Hasyim Sekardangan, Sidoarjo, are influenced by the discovery learning model assisted by natural environment media. This research is a type of pre-experimental research by design (One Group Pretest-Posttest). All 28 students of grade IV, totaling 16, were taken for research. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test description tests. The validity and reliability test using Product Moment is said to be valid because X1 to X4 0.000 which means the Sig value < 0.05, and reliability using Cronbach's Alpha is 0.817 > 0.6 so it can be said to be reliable or consistent. The data analysis technique in this study used the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, and the Paired sample T test hypothesis test, which was used with the IBM SPSS program version 29.00 for Windows. The results showed that students' critical thinking skills were better with a discovery learning learning model assisted by the media of the surrounding natural environment. An increase in the posttest score to 65.7 from the average pretest result of 56.5 indicates that there is a positive increase. Thus, the discovery learning model assisted by environmental environmental media can make students active and affect the critical thinking skills of grade IV elementary school students
