The implementation of Science (IPAS) learning in elementary schools has not been effective and optimal, with teaching still centered on the teacher. This research aims to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes in IPAS learning using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in grade V of SDN 8 Padang Panjang Timur, Padang Panjang City. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) using a qualitative and quantitative approach. The results showed an improvement as evidenced by the analysis results of a) the average score of the learning module in cycle I was 80.56% with a qualification of B, increasing to 94.44% in cycle II with a qualification of SB , b) the implementation of learning on the teacher aspect, cycle I was 89.20% with a qualification of B increased to 96.41 in cycle II with a qualification of SB and on the student aspect, cycle I was 73.14% with a qualification of B increased to 92.85% with a qualification of SB. c) Student learning outcomes in cycle I obtained a score of 70.33 with a qualification of C and increased to 89.79 in cycle II with a qualification of SB. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve student learning outcomes in the IPAS subject in grade V of SDN 8 Padang Panjang Timur.
