This research was motivated by the low reading comprehension skills of students. This research is classroom action research with two cycles and each cycle consists of two meetings. This research procedure uses Kemmis & McTaggart which includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this research were 22 fifth grade students consisting of 7 female students and 15 male students. The instruments used are tests and non-tests. The test instrument includes an assessment of reading comprehension skills, while the non-test instrument includes observation sheets, interviews and documentation. The data results of students' reading comprehension skills in cycle I showed completeness of 76% and in cycle II it increased to 89%. The student observation sheet in cycle I showed 77% and in cycle II it increased to 98%. So it can be concluded that the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition model assisted by Flashcards media is able to improve the reading comprehension skills of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 3 Banteran.
