The aim of this research is to increase student activity through the make a match learning model in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects using paired cards containing questions and answers. From the results of initial observations carried out in class IV of SD Muhammadiyah 2 Kauman Surakarta with a total of 27 students, there were findings that students had not shown activeness in learning science and science. This research uses a type of classroom action research (PTK). The model used is from Kemmis & Mc Taggart which includes 4 procedures in each cycle, including; planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data analysis technique used is a qualitative technique. To determine the improvement of students, it can be concluded that learning science and science class IV by implementing the make a match learning model can increase student activity. The make a match learning model is able to increase student activity, shown by an increase in the percentage in each cycle.
