This research uses a quantitative approach with experimental research methods. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of various drill methods on swimming on basic backstroke swimming techniques. This research was carried out at SDIT Al Istiqamah II. The population of this study was 30 students of SDIT Al Istiqamah II Karawang Regency who took part in extracurricular swimming at SDIT Al Istiqamah II. The results of this study showed that there was a significant increase between the average scores before and after treatment, with a pretest mean of 52.8 increasing to a posttest mean of 90.8. The significance value obtained is less than the significance level, namely 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that there is a significant influence between the average value before and after treatment. This research concludes that the Drill method in learning backstroke swimming techniques in extracurricular swimming at SDIT AL ISTIQAMAH II is effective in improving students' backstroke swimming test results.
