<![CDATA[The Mapag Ramadhan tradition is part of local wisdom in Ciamis Regency that has survived until now. This tradition not only has religious value, but also becomes a forum for social interaction in welcoming the holy month of Ramadhan. This study analyzes the Mapag Ramadhan tradition from a participative governance perspective, which emphasizes the active involvement of various stakeholders in the process of organizing this tradition. Using a descriptive qualitative method, this study explores the role of local government, community leaders, religious organizations, and community participation in maintaining and developing the Mapag Ramadhan tradition. The results of the study show that the implementation of this tradition reflects the principle of participative governance through collaboration between the government and the community in preserving culture, strengthening local identity, and increasing social cohesion. In addition, the involvement of various parties in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of this tradition shows that participatory culture has become part of local governance. Therefore, stronger policy support is needed to ensure the continuity of this tradition amidst the flow of modernization]]>
