Abstract

The aim of this observation is to describe the mathematic learning process which apply TGTcooperative type learning method to increase the mathematic proclivity and achievement ofstudent in class VIII C SMP N 2 Sanden, Bantul. The type of this observation is ClassAction Research (CAR). The Data accumulation technique in this observation usingobservation technique, questionnaire technique, test technique, documentation and range ofactivity record technique. After applied the cooperative type TGT learning method in classVIII C SMP N 2 Sanden, Bantul. The result of the observation indicated that the mathematicproclivity and study achievement of student have been advance. Its indicated by the averagepresentation progress of study proclivity student in pra step amounted 48,66% advance to60,31% at the cycle I and 68,88% at the cycle II. The student mathematic achievement areadvance, according to the average of pra step amounted 71,25 to 77,5 and at the end of cycleI and then 82,5 at the end of cycle II. Whereas the student presentation who get point ≥ 75advance too. Which at pra step amounted 35,71% to 64,29% in cycle I and then 85,71% incycle II. According to the observation teachers have to use TGT cooperative type of learningmethod in mathematic course especially in another material as an alternative to advance thestudent proclivity and study achievement in mathematic learning.
