Rational emotive behavior therapy for psychological well-being in adolescents with cerebral visual impairment in Saudi Arabia

The study investigated the effectiveness of a Rational-Emotive-Behavioral program in improving psychological well-being among adolescents with Cerebral Visual Impairment in Saudi Arabia. The sample comprised 30 CVI secondary school students from the Al Nour Institute for the Blind in Buraidah, experiencing a decline in well-being. The sample was then divided into two groups (experimental and control). The research utilized two instruments: a researcher-developed Rational-Emotive-Behavioral therapy program and a researcher-adapted version of Ryff's Psychological Well-Being Scales (PWB) suitable for adolescents with CVI. The results demonstrated the effectiveness of the REB program in enhancing psychological well-being in this population.
