<![CDATA[The social phenomenon in the last decade that tends to be characterized by extreme-radical behavior proves the significance of moderation. Moderate attitudes are essential to ensure harmony in a multi-religious society, such as Indonesia. This study aims to demonstrate and analyze religious education at schools in constructing students' moderate attitudes. It is a qualitative study based on primary and secondary data. The primary data were obtained through questionnaires and interviews with high school students from six religions: Islam, Catholicism, Protestantism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Confucianism in Jakarta, Tangerang, Depok, and Labuanbajo. The secondary ones were from online news and previous studies. The study had been conducted from May to July 2022. The findings suggested that from the perspective of students, religious education constructs students' moderate attitudes that they can respect differences and live in harmony. It can be realized by requiring three elements as pillars of religious education, which are: quality textbooks, moderate teachers, and conducive school atmosphere. Therefore, religious education is a determining element for realizing moderate behavior to maintain harmony among pluralistic society.]]>
