Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of compensation in enhancing employee work motivation at the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of Bali Province. Through interviews with employees, the research identifies various forms of compensation implemented, including base salary, additional incentives, and non-financial compensation such as career development opportunities and recognition of achievements. The results indicate that competitive salaries and incentives for achieving targets significantly contribute to employee motivation. Additionally, training programs and seminars enhance employee skills, while recognition given in meetings boosts confidence. These findings suggest that an effective compensation system can promote productivity and job satisfaction among employees at Bapenda. Abstrak Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi efektivitas kompensasi dalam meningkatkan motivasi kerja karyawan di Badan Pendapatan Daerah (Bapenda) Provinsi Bali. Melalui wawancara dengan pegawai, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi berbagai bentuk kompensasi yang diterapkan, termasuk gaji pokok, insentif tambahan, serta kompensasi non-finansial seperti kesempatan pengembangan karir dan pengakuan atas prestasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaji yang kompetitif dan insentif saat mencapai target berkontribusi signifikan terhadap motivasi karyawan. Selain itu, program pelatihan dan seminar meningkatkan keterampilan pegawai, sementara pengakuan yang diberikan dalam rapat memperkuat rasa percaya diri. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa sistem kompensasi yang efektif dapat mendorong produktivitas dan kepuasan kerja karyawan di Bapenda. Kata kunci : Efektivitas, Kompensasi, Motivasi Kerja
