Thisstudy aims to analyze the information literacy skills of students in the Library and Information Science Program at Muhammadiyah University of Sinjai in completing academic assignments using the Big 6 literacy method. The research employed a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The study sample consisted of all 29 students in the Library and Information Science Program at Muhammadiyah University of Sinjai, selected through a saturated sampling technique, where the entire population was used as the sample. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire, and data processing utilized tabulation techniques. The data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistical techniques, specifically the calculation of mean and grand mean. The results showed that the information literacy skills of students in the Library and Information Science Program at Muhammadiyah University of Sinjai in completing academic assignments using the Big 6 literacy method were categorized as high, with an average score of 3.77, which falls within the high category interval (3.41–4.20). These findings indicate that students have strong abilities in understanding information needs, seeking, accessing, using, synthesizing, and evaluating information effectively to complete their academic assignments
