This research explores the perspective of Islamic economics on halal tourism and its impact on local economic development. With the increasing number of global Muslim tourists and the growing interest in destinations that are safe and welcoming for Muslim travelers, halal tourism shows significant potential in contributing to the local economy. This study analyzes how the principles of Islamic economics, such as ownership, consumption, and distribution, are applied in the management of halal tourism, and how halal tourism must be free from elements prohibited in Islamic economics such as maisir, gharar, haram, riba, and bathil. Additionally, the study discusses the positive impact of halal tourism on local community income through the creation of new business opportunities and the improvement of quality of life. The conclusions indicate that halal tourism can create new job opportunities, increase community income, and support local economic development.
