The presence offolklorebringmanypositive benefitsto thechild. Benefits offolkloreincludeholisticdevelopment, cognitive, moral, language, andsocial. Folklorecanbe an alternativereadingtochildren, as long asparentscanselecta childreadingand provide insight intothe folklorethattheyread. It should be notedalsoonthe ageandinterests of childreninfolklorethatnotallfolkloreis suitableforallagelevelreaders, sodepending on the contentsandcomplexityofthe story.
