This study explores gender equality-based pastoral counseling as a transformative approach to addressing domestic violence in Indonesian churches. Using literature analysis with a practical theological approach, this research examines the challenges, implementation, and optimization strategies of pastoral counseling that integrates gender equality perspectives. Findings indicate that domestic violence remains a serious problem in Indonesian Christian communities, exacerbated by patriarchal theological interpretations and limited church service capacity. Gender equality-based pastoral counseling offers holistic solutions through the integration of feminist theology, liberation hermeneutics, and trauma-informed care methodologies, providing spiritual, psychological, and social support for victims. Healing ministries that integrate gender equality perspectives can revitalize the church's understanding of equal gender relations according to the imago Dei concept. Effective implementation requires a theological curriculum of theological development training for pastoral counselors and strategic partnerships with civil society organizations to create safe and transformative churches for all of God's people.   Abstrak Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi konseling pastoral berbasis kesetaraan gender sebagai pendekatan transformatif dalam menangani kekerasan dalam rumah tangga (KDRT) di gereja-gereja Indonesia. Menggunakan metode analisis literatur dengan pendekatan teologis praktis, penelitian ini mengkaji tantangan, implementasi, dan strategi optimalisasi konseling pastoral yang mengintegrasikan perspektif kesetaraan gender. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa KDRT masih menjadi masalah serius dalam komunitas Kristen Indonesia, diperparah oleh interpretasi teologis yang bias patriarkal dan keterbatasan kapasitas pelayanan gereja. Konseling pastoral berbasis kesetaraan gender menawarkan solusi holistik melalui integrasi teologi feminis, hermeneutika pembebasan, dan metodologi trauma-informed care yang memberikan dukungan spiritual, psikologis, dan sosial bagi korban. Pelayanan pemulihan yang mengintegrasikan perspektif kesetaraan gender dapat merevitalisasi pemahaman gereja tentang relasi gender yang setara sesuai konsep imago Dei. Implementasi efektif memerlukan pengembangan kurikulum teologi, pelatihan konselor pastoral, dan kemitraan strategis dengan organisasi masyarakat sipil untuk menciptakan gereja yang aman dan transformatif bagi seluruh umat Allah.
