Nutrients are needed by athletes to meet daily nutritional needs used in carrying out daily activities, training and physical activities that support body fitness. Fulfilling this nutrition is very important for athletes, considering that their energy needs are greater than those of people who do not exercise, because the intensity of training and the work of their body organs is heavier. This research is a quantitative descriptive research with a cross sectional design. This research aims to identify the relationship between the research variables and determine the level of correlation. The independent variable is diet and the dependent variable is nutritional status. The results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between eating frequency, amount of carbohydrate intake, and the nutritional status of futsal athletes (p < 0.05). On the other hand, no significant relationship was found between the amount of protein intake, fat intake and amount of water and nutritional status (p > 0.05). It is hoped that respondents will increase their understanding regarding eating patterns and pay attention to each food intake so that they can maintain and optimize their performance and endurance as athletes.
