Abstract

Abstrak Dalam era perkembangan pendidikan, tingkat pendidikan yang berkualitas dapat menghasilkan generasi yang akan datang menjadi cerdas dan kompeten sebagai penerus bangsa di bidangnya masing-masing. Salah satu sarana untuk dapat mewujudkan generasi yang cerdas adalah lembaga pendidikan, sehingga diharapkan dapat menghasilkan generasi yang dapat berfikir kritis, memiliki kecakapan hidup dan bisa mengembangkan potensi diri masing-masing untuk Warga Negara Indonesia. Regulasi terkait Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru (PPDB) dengan sistem zonasi di Indonesia telah mengalami dinamika yang cukup signifikan dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Sejak tahun 2017, Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan telah menerbitkan beberapa peraturan menteri yang mengatur mekanisme PPDB. Permasalahan ketidaksiapan kebijakan PPDB dilihat dari tidak diselaraskan dengan penyediaan jumlah sekolah negeri yang tersedia di suatu wilayah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Informan penelitian meliputi stakeholder yang terlibat dalam implementasi PPBD. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi kebijakan PPBD sudah dilaksanakan baik, namun pada tahap evaluasi dan partisipasi masyarakat masih perlu dilakukan perbaikan. Dinas Pendidikan Kota Bandung juga perlu berfokus program sosialisasi berkelanjutan terkait PPDB di tahun 2025. Kata Kunci: PPBD, Pendidikan, Zonasi Abstract In the era of educational development, a quality level of education can produce future generations who will be intelligent and competent as successors to the nation in their respective fields. One of the means to realize an intelligent generation is educational institutions, so that it is expected to produce a generation that can think critically, have life skills and can develop their own potential for Indonesian citizens. Regulations related to New Student Admissions (PPDB) with the zoning system in Indonesia have experienced quite significant dynamics in recent years. Since 2017, the Ministry of Education and Culture has issued several ministerial regulations governing the PPDB mechanism. The problem of unpreparedness of the PPDB policy is seen from not being aligned with the provision of the number of public schools available in an area. The research method used is a qualitative research method. Research informants include stakeholders involved in the implementation of PPBD. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the PPBD policy has been carried out well, but at the evaluation and community participation stages, improvements still need to be made. The Bandung City Education Office also needs to focus on ongoing socialization programs related to PPDB in 2025. Keywords: PPBD, Education, Zoning
