Abstract

Ketimpangan gender dalam ketenagakerjaan menjadi isu krusial di banyak negara, termasuk di Kabupaten Ngawi, dengan perbedaan akses dan kesempatan kerja yang signifikan antara laki-laki dan perempuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor penyebab ketimpangan gender dalam ketenagakerjaan serta upaya yang dilakukan untuk mencapai pemerataan kesempatan kerja. Ketimpangan ini terlihat dalam berbagai aspek, seperti partisipasi tenaga kerja, upah, posisi manajerial, serta akses terhadap pelatihan dan pendidikan profesional. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis data sekunder dari laporan ketenagakerjaan nasional dan internasional, serta tinjauan pustaka terkait kebijakan dan program yang mendorong kesetaraan gender di tempat kerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor budaya, pendidikan, dan kebijakan perusahaan memiliki peran signifikan dalam menciptakan ketimpangan. Upaya yang dilakukan meliputi penerapan kebijakan afirmatif, program pelatihan keterampilan, serta regulasi perlindungan bagi pekerja perempuan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kolaborasi antara pemerintah, sektor swasta, dan masyarakat sangat penting untuk mengurangi ketimpangan gender dan mendorong kesempatan kerja yang lebih merata di masa depan. Kata Kunci : Ketimpangan gender, Ketenagakerjaan, Pemerataan kesempatan kerja, Kesetaraan gender Gender inequality in employment is a crucial issue in many countries, including in the district Ngawi, with significant differences in access and employment opportunities between men and women. This study aims to analyze the factors causing gender inequality in employment and the efforts made to achieve equal employment opportunities. This inequality is seen in various aspects, such as workforce participation, wages, managerial positions, and access to professional training and education. This research method uses a qualitative approach with secondary data analysis from national and international employment reports, as well as a literature review related to policies and programs that promote gender equality in the workplace. The results of the study indicate that cultural factors, education, and company policies play a significant role in creating inequality. Efforts made include the implementation of affirmative policies, skills training programs, and protective regulations for female workers. This study concludes that collaboration between the government, private sector, and society is essential to reduce gender inequality and promote more equal employment opportunities in the future.
