<![CDATA[Abstract. The advancement of the internet today makes it easy for everyone to connect through various platforms, one of which is Instagram. Instagram tends to have a negative impact on romantic relationships. This article aims to explore the causes and consequences of romantic jealousy occurring on social media, particularly Instagram. The method used in writing this article is a scoping review. The author searched for articles related to romantic jealousy through Google Scholar, Scopus, Sagepub, ScienceDirect, Taylor and Francis, and SpringerLink, resulting in 72 articles from Indonesia and abroad within the time frame of 2013 to 2023. After selection based on criteria, 62 articles did not meet the requirements, leaving only 10 articles used in this study. The results of the exploration indicate that romantic jealousy is largely influenced by internal factors. These factors interrelate and are amplified by the presence of the Instagram platform, especially due to the increasingly comprehensive features Instagram offers. Repeated experiences of romantic jealousy can have negative impacts on the individual, their partner, and their relationship. Abstrak. Kemajuan internet saat ini membuat setiap orang dengan mudah saling terhubung melalui berbagai platform yang ada salah satunya melalui Instagram. Aplikasi Instagram saat ini cenderung memberikan dampak negatif bagi relasi romantis seseorang. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi sebab dan akibat romantic jealousy yang terjadi di media sosial khususnya Instagram. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan artikel ini yaitu scoping review. Penulis mencari artikel-artikel terkait romantic jealousy melalui Google Scholar, Scopus, Sagepub, ScienceDirect, Taylor and Francis, juga SpringerLink dan menghasilkan 72 artikel dari Indonesia dan luar negeri dengan rentang batasan tahun 2013 sampai 2023. Setelah diseleksi sesuai kriteria, 62 artikel tidak memenuhi syarat, sehingga hanya 10 artikel yang digunakan dalam artikel ini. Hasil dari eksplorasi menunjukkan bahwa romantic jealousy sebagian besar dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal. Hal ini saling mempengaruhi dan diperkuat oleh adanya platform Instagram, khususnya karena fitur yang dimiliki Instagram saat ini semakin lengkap. Romantic jealousy yang dialami secara berulang pun dapat menimbulkan dampak negatif baik untuk diri sendiri, pasangan, maupun hubungan.]]>
