This study explores the evolution of Management Information Systems (MIS) in the context of digital transformation in educational management. Using a bibliometric approach, 198 Scopus-indexed documents were analyzed to map research trends, dominant themes, and the intellectual structure of the field. The findings reveal a growing emphasis on integrating MIS with e-learning, data analytics, and decision support systems. The research highlights how MIS has expanded beyond administrative functions to become central to institutional planning, quality assurance, and educational innovation. Challenges such as system interoperability, digital literacy, and equitable access remain significant. The study gives a theoretical explanation for the shifting role of MIS and offers practical implications for policymakers, institutional leaders, and researchers. It concludes that adaptive, user-centered MIS is essential to supporting effective, responsive, and inclusive educational systems in the digital age.
