Abstract

Abstrak: Pemeriksaan Pap smear sebagai deteksi dini kanker serviks, merupakan tindakan yang mudah dikerjakan, biaya terjangkau, bahkan sekarang bisa terfasilitasi (Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial) BPJS, dan memiliki keakuratan tinggi. Perempuan di Indonesia, yang belum bersedia melakukan pemeriksaan Pap smear dikarenakan takut sakit, takut hasil, dan takut biaya. Tujuan: meningkatkan pengetahuan prosedur pemeriksaan Pap smear dan manfaatnya, di mana saat ini terfasilitasi BPJS. Metode: penyuluhan, pretest dan posttest sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan, dan diskusi/tanya jawab. Hasil: peserta yang hadir 32 orang ibu-ibu dari Dukuh Daratan 2 dan 3, Kelurahan Sendangarum, Kecamatan Minggir, Kabupaten Sleman, Propinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY). Hasil: Nilai posttest meningkat daripada pretest, dari nilai 68,8 menjadi nilai 73,1. Hasil menunjukkan materi penyuluhan disimak dengan baik oleh para peserta. Kesimpulan: Penyuluhan meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta mengenai prosedur pemeriksaan dan manfaat pemeriksaan Pap smear.Abstract: Pap smear examination as an early detection of cervical cancer, is an easy-to-do, affordable, and now facilitated by BPJS, and has high accuracy. Women in Indonesia, who are not willing to undergo Pap smear examination because they are afraid of pain, afraid of the results, and afraid of the cost. Objective: to increase knowledge of Pap smear examination procedures and their benefits, which are currently facilitated by BPJS. Method: counseling, pretest and posttest before and after counseling, and discussion/question and answer. Results: Participants who attended were 32 mothers from Dukuh Daratan 2 and 3, Sendangarum Village, Minggir District, Sleman Regency, Province Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY). Results: The posttest score increased compared to the pretest, from 68.8 to 73.1. The results showed that the counseling material was well listened to by the participants. Conclusion: Counseling increased participants' knowledge of the examination procedure and benefits of Pap smear examination.
