<![CDATA[Abstrak. Masjid tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tempat ibadah, tetapi juga memiliki potensi sebagai pusat pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam bidang ekonomi, sosial, dan budaya. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya optimalisasi fungsi masjid dalam mendorong kesejahteraan masyarakat secara berkelanjutan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi potensi keterlibatan masyarakat di Masjid Merah Pandaan, menganalisis hambatan yang dihadapi, serta merumuskan strategi pemberdayaan yang efektif. Penelitian ini berlandaskan pada pemikiran teoritis bahwa partisipasi aktif masyarakat merupakan kunci keberhasilan program pemberdayaan berbasis komunitas. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap takmir, masyarakat, dan pengunjung masjid. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Masjid Merah memiliki potensi besar sebagai pusat kegiatan sosial dan ekonomi, meskipun masih menghadapi kendala seperti rendahnya partisipasi berkelanjutan, kurangnya promosi program, serta minimnya sinergi dengan komunitas sekitar. Penelitian ini menyarankan strategi seperti peningkatan komunikasi, pengembangan program berbasis minat dan ekonomi kreatif, serta pendekatan partisipatif berbasis kelompok kecil. Dengan penguatan strategi tersebut, Masjid Merah Pandaan berpeluang besar menjadi model pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis masjid yang efektif dan berkelanjutan. Abstract. A mosque does not only serve as a place of worship, but also holds great potential as a center for community empowerment in the economic, social, and cultural sectors. This study is based on the importance of optimizing the mosque’s role in promoting sustainable community welfare. The purpose of this research is to identify the potential for community involvement at Masjid Merah Pandaan, analyze the challenges faced, and formulate effective empowerment strategies. This research is grounded in the theoretical assumption that active community participation is key to the success of community-based empowerment programs. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving mosque administrators, local residents, and mosque visitors. The findings indicate that Masjid Merah has strong potential to serve as a hub for social and economic activity, although it still faces obstacles such as inconsistent participation, limited program promotion, and lack of synergy with surrounding communities. The study recommends strategies including improved communication, the development of interest-based and creative economic programs, and participatory approaches through small group engagement. With the implementation of these strategies, Masjid Merah Pandaan has a promising opportunity to become a model for effective and sustainable mosque-based community empowerment.]]>
