This study aims to analyze the implementation of data governance in Islamic management and how its challenges and impacts affect operational efficiency. A qualitative approach was applied through literature review as the analytical basis. The findings indicate that data governance grounded in Islamic values such as trust, justice, and transparency can strengthen organizational operational systems. Key challenges include internal resistance, limited infrastructure, and low data literacy within Islamic-based institutions. Nevertheless, integrating data governance with Islamic ethical principles contributes significantly to improving efficiency and managerial accountability. These insights are relevant for organizations implementing sharia-based management systems to optimize the role of data in achieving sustainable organizational goals.
