PT. XYZ is a company engaged in the charger and inverter manufacturing industry for electric cars. PT. XYZ has implemented a label validation system in one of its operational activities to ensure the quality and compliance of its products. However, the company has not yet applied proper information technology governance in managing and monitoring this system. Until now, there has been no comprehensive analysis conducted to evaluate the extent of control or supervision performed by PT. XYZ over the label validation process. The purpose of this study is to assess the capability level of control in the label validation system and to determine how effectively it supports the company's operational performance. This research utilizes the COBIT 5 Framework as a methodological basis, specifically focusing on the MEA01 (Monitor, Evaluate and Assess Performance and Conformance) and MEA02 (Monitor, Evaluate and Assess the System of Internal Control) domains. The results of this study are presented in the form of an improvement strategy and recommendations aimed at enhancing the governance and control of the label validation system at PT. XYZ, so that it aligns more closely with organizational objectives and IT best practices.
