Parenting patterns on children's behavior reflect the influence that the role of parents has in shaping the child's character. some children will respond positively to the parenting patterns that have been implemented by their parents, but some find it difficult to respond well to their parents' parenting patterns. This research aims to describe the social behavior of children aged 5-6 years in Argosuko Poncokusumo Village, Malang Regency. The research was conducted on early childhood children who attended the Sekolah Pertama Dharma Wanita 1 Argosuko Poncokusumo Kindergarten. There are three main sub-focuses discussed in this research, namely, first, parenting patterns, second, children's social behavior, and third, the characteristics of early childhood social development. This research uses a combination of qualitative approaches through direct observation during three meetings and a literature review as the theoretical basis for the research. The results of this observational research show that parents' parenting styles have a positive effect on their social development. However, some children need additional encouragement.
