MENGEMBANGKAN KEMAMPUAN MOTORIK HALUS ANAK MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PJBL, DIRECT INSTRUCTION, DAN MEDIA MAGIC LEARN BOX

Abstract

The problem in this study was the low development of children's fine motor skills. This issue was due to the lack of variation in teaching models and learning media, as well as limited activities involving hand-eye coordination. Children experienced difficulties in activities such as cutting, threading, and holding writing tools correctly. To overcome these problems, the researcher applied the Project Based Learning model, Direct Instruction method, and Magic Learn Box media. The purpose of this study was to describe teacher activities, children’s learning activities, and the improvement in children's fine motor skills. This research used a qualitative approach with the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, conducted over four sessions. The subjects were 11 children in Group A at TK Sun Shine Banjarmasin Utara. Instruments included observation sheets for teacher activities, student activities, and fine motor skill achievement. Data were collected through observation and documentation. The results showed a significant improvement. Teacher activity increased steadily, reaching the "Very Good" category in the final session. Children’s activity also improved to the “All Children Active” category. The development of children’s fine motor skills progressed from the “Starting to Develop” category in the initial session to “Developing Very Well” in the final session. This study proves that the use of Magic Learn Box through the Project Based Learning model and Direct Instruction method is effective in enhancing children's fine motor skills. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that using the Magic Learn Box media through the Project Based Learning model and Direct Instruction can improve teacher activities, children's learning activities, and the development of children's fine motor skills. It is recommended that school principals, teachers, and future researchers use this as valuable input to enhance the quality of learning for children. ABSTRAK Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya perkembangan kemampuan motorik halus anak. Hal ini terjadi karena kurangnya variasi dalam model pembelajaran dan media yang digunakan, serta terbatasnya aktivitas yang melibatkan koordinasi tangan dan mata anak. Anak mengalami kesulitan dalam kegiatan seperti menggunting, meronce, dan memegang alat tulis dengan benar. Upaya yang dilakukan peneliti untuk mengatasi masalah ini yaitu dengan menerapkan Model Project Based Learning, Direct Instruction, dan Media Magic Learn Box.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru, aktivitas anak, dan peningkatan kemampuan motorik halus anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam 4 pertemuan. Subjek penelitian adalah anak kelompok A TK Sun Shine Banjarmasin Utara berjumlah 11 anak. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar observasi aktivitas guru, aktivitas anak, dan capaian perkembangan motorik halus anak. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan. Aktivitas guru terus meningkat hingga mencapai kategori “Sangat Baik” pada pertemuan terakhir. Aktivitas anak dalam kegiatan juga meningkat hingga mencapai kategori “Seluruh Anak Aktif”. Capaian perkembangan motorik halus anak menunjukkan hasil yang optimal, dari kategori “Mulai Berkembang” pada pertemuan awal menjadi “Berkembang Sangat Baik” pada pertemuan akhir. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa penggunaan media Magic Learn Box dengan model Project Based Learning dan metode Direct Instruction efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus anak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan media Magic Learn Box melalui model project based learning dan Direct Instruction dapat meningkatkan aktivitas guru, aktivitas anak dan Perkembangan motorik halus anak. Disarankan bagi kepala sekolah, guru dan peneliti selanjutnya dapat menjadi bahan masukan informasi untuk memperbaiki pembelajaran pada anak.
