Abstract

Abstrak: Permasalahan utama mitra adalah keterbatasan perangkat keras IoT dan minimnya pengalaman praktik siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa SMK jurusan Teknik Komputer Jaringan terkait implementasi Internet of Things (IoT) melalui simulasi menggunakan platform Wokwi. Pelatihan dilakukan selama dua hari melalui metode workshop, praktik langsung, dan pendampingan mini-proyek. Peserta terdiri dari 53 siswa SMK Bhakti Praja Talang. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari 68,87 menjadi 86,59 dengan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,57 (kategori sedang). Sebanyak 90% siswa berhasil menyusun simulasi proyek berbasis mikrokontroler ESP32, seperti sistem lampu otomatis dan monitoring suhu. Kegiatan ini terbukti mampu meningkatkan keterampilan praktis dan rasa percaya diri siswa dalam pengembangan proyek IoT serta memberikan alternatif pembelajaran berbasis simulasi yang dapat direplikasi pada sekolah lain.Abstract: The main problems include limited IoT hardware and a lack of practical experience. This community service program aims to enhance students’ understanding of the Internet of Things (IoT) implementation through Wokwi simulation. A two-day workshop was conducted involving 53 students from SMK Bhakti Praja Talang, featuring hands-on sessions and project mentoring. Pre-test and post-test evaluations show an average score improvement from 68.87 to 86.59 with an N-gain of 0.57 (moderate category). Over 90% of participants successfully developed simulated IoT projects using ESP32 microcontrollers, such as automatic lighting systems and temperature monitoring. This program effectively improved students' practical skills and confidence in IoT project development. The activity offers a replicable simulation-based learning model suitable for vocational schools with limited physical resources.
