ABSTRAK Asupan makanan merupakan salah satu faktor utama yang secara langsung memengaruhi status gizi seseorang, terutama pada anak-anak yang berada dalam masa pertumbuhan dan perkembangan. Anak yang tidak memperoleh makanan yang cukup, baik dari segi jumlah (kuantitas) maupun kualitas (jenis dan kandungan gizi), berisiko mengalami kekurangan zat gizi penting seperti energi, protein, vitamin, dan mineral. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis tingkat kecukupan energi dan protein pada anak usia sekolah di daerah pertanian kabupaten Brebes. Penelitian ini bersifat survei analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional study. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 90 responden dengan menggunakan simple random sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan menggunakan distribusi frekuensi. Berdasarkan metode food recall 2 x 24 jam didapati gambaran kecukupan energi dan protein paling banyak kategori cukup yaitu 83,3%, Sebanyak 83,3% siswa memiliki kecukupan energi yang cukup berdasarkan recall 2x24 jam sedangkan tingkat kecukupan protein paling banyakkategori cukup sebesar 76,6%.. Konsumsi makanan yang beragam pada anak diperlukan untuk pemenuhan status gizi pada anak. Diperlukan edukasi gizi untuk meningkatkan asupan protein anak di daerah pertanian. Children who do not get enough food, both in terms of quantity and quality (type and nutritional content), are at risk of experiencing deficiencies in essential nutrients such as energy, protein, vitamins, and minerals. The objective of this study is to analyze the adequacy of energy and protein intake among school-aged children in the agricultural area of Brebes District. This study is an analytical survey using a cross-sectional study approach. The sample size was 90 respondents, selected using simple random sampling. Data analysis was conducted using frequency distribution. Based on the 2x24-hour food recall method, the most common category for energy and protein sufficiency was “adequate” at 83.3%. Approximately 83.3% of students had adequate energy intake based on the 2x24-hour recall, while the most common category for protein sufficiency was “adequate” at 76.6%. A diverse diet is necessary for children to meet their nutritional needs. Nutrition education is needed to increase protein intake among children in agricultural areas.
