This study aims to analyze the professionalism of mosque da'wah management: a sociological analysis of communication between the nazir and the preacher. The problem of ineffective communication between the nazir and the preacher disrupts the delivery of da'wah and weakens the participation of the congregation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews and participant observation. The research informants numbered six people consisting of the mosque nazir, preachers who have served or are serving in the mosque, and the congregation. The results of the study indicate that the weakness of the communication system and mosque management structure triggers serious problems in the implementation of sermons and strengthens the social alienation of the preacher, which is evident in the decline in the quality of sermons, the strained relationship between the management and the preacher, and the decline in the congregation's trust in management. In conclusion, this study confirms that internal mosque communication influences the social and religious functions of the mosque. The implications of these findings can be a reference for urban mosque managers and the development of sociological studies of religious communication, especially regarding the relationship between organizational structures, preachers, and the congregation.
