Wijaya Kusuma Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) is a community-based health effort located in Nyamplung Lor, Balecatur, Gamping. Its main activities include monthly child growth monitoring with relatively high participation (80%) from 44 children. However, problems remain, such as three children suspected of stunting and low utilization of the Maternal and Child Health Book (KIA). Many mothers did not bring the KIA book, while some books were damaged, dirty, or rarely read. This community service program aimed to improve mothers’ capacity through child growth counseling and KIA utilization socialization. Methods included coordination with cadres, health education, socialization, and small-group mentoring. Results showed an increase in mothers’ knowledge (from a pretest score of 49 to a posttest score of 60) and improved skills in using the KIA book. The program strengthened early detection of child growth and development disorders and reinforced family roles in maintaining child health.
