Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                            Pendahuluan: Pesatnya pertumbuhan penduduk di Desa Sastrodirjan menimbulkan berbagai masalah lingkungan, terutama meningkatnya volume sampah, dan berkurangnya lahan resapan air yang berpotensi memicu kekeringan. Tujuan: Program pengabdian masyarakat ini Bertujuan untuk memperkuat pemahaman dan keterampilan warga dalam menghadapi isu perubahan iklim melalui sosialisasi Program Kampung Iklim ( Proklim ) serta praktik pembuatan biopori. Metode: Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan metode pemaparan materi, diskusi, dan demontrasi langsung yang melibatkan Dinas Perkim LH kabupaten Pekalongan bersama perangkat desa, kelompok Wanita Tani, PKK, kader kesehatan, dan masyarakat setempat. Hasil: Hasil menunjukan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat terkait pengolahan sampah organik, dan anorganik, pengurangan emisi gas rumah kaca, serta penerapan biopori sebagai teknologi sederhana untuk resapan air sekaligus untuk media pengolahan sampah organik menjadi kompos. Partisipasi dan antusiasme warga dalam setiap tahapan kegiatan menunjukan potensi besar untuk menjaga keberlanjutan program. Kata kunci: pengabdian masyarakat; Proklim; biopori; pengolahan sampah ABSTRACTIntroduction: The rapid population growth in Sastrodirjan Village has created various environmental challenges, particularly the increasing volume of waste and the reduction of water catchment areas that may trigger drought. Objective: This community service program aimed to strengthen residents’ knowledge and skills in addressing climate change issues through the socialization of the Climate Village Program (Proklim) and the practical implementation of biopore infiltration holes. Method: The activities were conducted through material presentations, discussions, and direct demonstrations involving the Pekalongan District Environmental and Housing Agency (Dinas Perkim LH), village officials, the Women Farmers Group, PKK, health cadres, and local residents. Result: The outcomes indicated an improvement in community knowledge related to organic and inorganic waste management, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, and the application of biopores as a simple technology for water infiltration as well as for processing organic waste into compost. The active participation and enthusiasm of residents in each stage of the activities highlight the strong potential to ensure the program’s sustainability. Keywords: community service; Proklim; biopore; waste management
